Caryl Community Center Building Committee Charge

The Board of Selectmen at their November 6th meeting approved the Charge for the Community Center Building Committee dropbox 안드로이드. Charge: The Committee, will support the Owners’ Project Manager and Project Designer, as they study the existing building conditions, confirm community space requirements, develop schematic renderings, renovation and new build design options and cost estimates for both pclink2000.

Membership: This committee will consist of at least seven (7) members appointed by the Board of Selectmen, with at least three members having knowledge of or experience with building/construction trades; and the remainder, informed residents who represent the community at large 더 포스트 다운로드. The committee will be provided with staff support from the Town Administrator, and will liaise with other staff members including the Building Superintendent, Director of Parks & Recreation, and the Director of Council on Aging.

Dover Community Center Building Committee

The Community Center Building Committee in Dover has begun its process to bring to a future Town Meeting a Renovation plan for the existing Caryl Community Center Building on Springdale Street as well as a New Building plan to replace the current structure according to Ford Spalding, Chair, of the newly formed Committee.

On October 7, 2019 at Dover’s Special Town Meeting voters approved funding to develop detailed plans to hire an Owners Project Manager (OPM) and Design Team (Architect) to work with the committee to do a Feasibility Study of the current building condition and determine the criteria for a design plan.  This will involve citizen input as to programs to be hosted in the center.  The Architect will then do schematic design renderings for each option as well as determine total costs for the options.  It is anticipated that the results will be ready for Town Meeting approval by the spring of 2021.

According to Ford Spalding the guiding principal is the building will be a community building for all members and ages of the community to come together for social, exercise and creative activity.

The Dover Selectmen appointed committee has as its members:  Ford Spalding (Chair), Dave Billings, Luciana Burdi, Sam Cole, Barry Goldman, Terry Sobolewski & Ruth Townsend.
