04.10.2020 Dover Update: # of Cases, Face Coverings & Public Safety Update

Town of Dover

April 10, 2020

o Cases in Dover. Our Emergency Response team is reporting no new confirmed cases this week. While cases at the moment can be considered stable, we continue to remain diligent and emphasize the importance of everyone continuing to do their part to minimize the spread. Case information as reported by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health can be found here: .

o Grocery Store Guidelines. The Governor issued guidance this week that limits grocery stores to 40% of their maximum occupancy levels, both customers and grocery store workers, in order to limit the number of people coming in close contact with one another. More information on this guidance can be found here:

o Face Coverings Recommendation. The CDC late last week issued revised guidance and now recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies). More information can be found here: o Transfer Station. The Transfer Station will be open regular hours on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, in order to reduce any potential backup that could occur on Wednesday.

o Town Meeting & Town Election. Town Moderator Jim Repetti issued an emergency declaration this week postponing Town Meeting until June 1, 2020 . This follows last week’s vote by the Board of Selectmen to postpone the Annual Town Election to some time in June. Both dates may be revisited and revised as they get closer. If you have any questions, please contact the Town Clerk’s office.

o Trustee Land. The Trustees reopened many of their properties this week, including Pegan Hill, Chase Woodlands, and Peters Reservation in Dover. Please strictly adhere to social distancing, parking, and other posted measures while enjoying these beautiful locations.

o Public Safety Update. Check out Chief McGowan’s public safety update on the Town’s Youtube channel and be sure to subscribe for future updates and videos.

o Email Updates. We have created an enrollment form for individuals interested in receiving email updates from the Town. If you presently receive these COVID emails or emails from my senior center, you do not need to submit your information. To receive updates, fill out this form.

Stay safe and stay healthy
